Authentic Spanish Colonial Revival Residence

After nearly thirty years of studying historic architecture in Latin America, this house was a real treat for me to design.  This is a major project with custom details throughout.  It is nearing completion The owners are only awaiting final furnishings.

Many details are taken from historic Monterey buildings as well as examples found throughout Mexico, Central and South America.

The finished project was a real team effort.  Every detail and finish was carefully studied and refined to fit into the overall feel of a Hacienda from the eighteenth century. It is on a tight site with multiple restrictions, but those parameters were eventually overcome. The owners knew what they wanted and with perseverance they got it.
